Congrats to the 436 Australian craft breweries who had beers nominated and voted for in the 16th edition of the annual GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beer poll. Mountain Culture Beer Co’s much loved Status Quo Pale Ale has gone back-to-back and been crowned Australia’s favourite craft beer for the second year running! 2024 GABS Festival Stand Sales

With over 40,000 trade and consumer attendees across three cities (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane), GABS is a trade and consumer event that’s all about craft beer, great food, education and entertainment and has been described by influential US magazine The Beer Connoisseur as “one of the best beer festivals in the world”.

Our audience ranges from the ‘craft faithful’ to the ‘beer curious’ to retail and industry experts. These are people who are open to new experiences, more adventurous than most, and believe in quality over quantity. GABS consumer audiences are early adopters. They follow their passions rather than the crowd, and they’ll spend more on great products and experiences. Our trade visitors are amongst the most influential retail, hospitality, supplier and industry experts.

2024 GABS Festival Brew Registrations

Every year, craft brewers from Australia, New Zealand and around the world come together to release a brand new brew exclusively for GABS Craft Beer Festival.

These one off  ‘Festival Brews’, served from our distinctive festival bars, are a true showcase of brewing creativity and diversity. Many attract significant media coverage in the lead-up to the events, and all are eligible to win the highly coveted GABS People’s Choice Award at each festival and some go on to be legends in their own right.

Over the years, GABS has purchased hundreds of thousands of litres of craft beer as more than 1,000 Festival Brews have started their journey at GABS, and many of these have gone on to win prestigious awards and enjoy huge consumer demand.

There’s only one golden rule. A GABS Festival Brew must be a new brew that has never been released before. It can be made in any style, whether it’s something traditional, perhaps with a twist, or a highly creative brew with exotic ingredients.
